MORNING SKATE REPORT: MARCH 23, 2024

MILWAUKEE, W.I. – The Henderson Silver Knights will take on the Milwaukee Admirals in the first game of a road back-to-back. It will be their second and final series against the Admirals this season; they are 0-2-0 against Milwaukee. Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT.

ON THE LOOKOUT

  • Since returning from his callup with the Vegas Golden Knights, forward Brendan Brisson has seven points (3G, 4A) in his last five games, scoring five of them (2G, 3A) in Henderson’s most recent series against the Abbotsford Canucks. He has notched 33 points (15G, 18A) in 45 AHL games this season, as well as 7 points (2G, 5A) in 13 NHL games. “I think the biggest thing is just confidence,” he said after Saturday’s morning skate. “When you’re playing up there, it’s a great feeling to get that callup and be in the NHL. When I got sent down, I had some confidence…I feel good about my game and just trying to keep that momentum going.”
  • Forward Grigori Denisenko notched 4 points (2G, 2A) against Abbotsford on March 16 and 17. Denisenko, who represented the Silver Knights at the AHL All-Star Classic, leads the team in points with 46 (16G, 30A) in 54 games this season. He also played in six games with the Golden Knights this year.

  • Rookie forward Zach L’Heureux has 41 points (15G, 26A) in 54 games this season, eighth-most among first year players. In the team’s last series against Henderson, he also recorded a three-point night on January 13 (1G, 2A). He has been held off the scoresheet in both of his most recent contests, a two-game series against the Colorado Eagles.
  • Goaltender Yaroslav Askarov has started 35 games for the Admirals this season. He holds a 22-12-1 record with a .912 save percentage. Askarov holds a 2.36 GAA, the seventh-best among AHL goaltenders, as well as five shutouts, the second-most in the league. He represented the Admirals at the 2023-24 AHL All-Star Challenge.
