Mercer County Tournament Quarterfinals - Ice hockey

Nathan Mayer made 19 saves to earn his second shutout of the season, as fourth-seeded Notre Dame moved into the semifinal round with a 3-0 win over Notre Dame at Mercer County Park in West Windsor.

The fourth-seeded Irish will face top-seeded Paul VI Wednesday.

Vincenzo Labianca, Trey Guire and Severio Sugarek scored the goals for the Irish. Guire’s goal was his team-leading 13th of the season.

Princeton fell to 5-11 with its fourth straight loss.

Robbinsville 6, Nottingham 0

Charlie Luizza scored three goals and Zander Wiley turned away 19 shots as Robbinsville moved into the semifinal round. The second-seeded Ravens (14-5) will face third-seeded Hopewell Valley on Wednesday.

Luizza’s hat trick was his third of the season. He has 17 goals.

Jake Lachance scored a pair of goals for Robbinsville and Zach Duggan hit the net once. Duggan had three assists.

Robbinsville has won four straight since the end of a three-game losing streak. Nottingham fell to 6-12-1.
