Hicks is CHA Rookie of the Week

Syracuse forward Rhéa Hicks is the College Hockey America Rookie of the Week for her performance in four Orange games in the last six days. The Etobicoke, Ontario native had an assist in both of Syracuse’s games against RIT and fired 11 shots on goal during the four-game stretch. The first-year skater plays on Syracuse’s first line on the power play and also plays on the penalty kill unit.
 
Hicks is tied for fourth in scoring for the Orange with 16 points, including four goals and 12 assists. The CHA award is the third for Hicks this season. She has scored at least one point in five of Syracuse’s past seven games.
 
The Orange will host Penn State on February 3rd (6 pm) and 4th (3 pm) at Tennity Ice Pavilion. Syracuse will close CHA regular season play at home against Mercyhurst on Feb 10th and 11th, before Senior Day against Stonehill on Feb. 18th. All home games are played at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
