Roslovic, Kuraly, Grand-Pierre trade skates for bats in softball showdown

What do Jack Roslovic, Sean Kuraly and the Backstreet Boys have in common?

For one night, we had a real answer to that question. All of them took part in the 2022 version of Dave & Jimmy’s Celebrity Softball Classic, held Wednesday night at Huntington Park in downtown Columbus.

The two CBJ players as well as former Jacket and current broadcaster Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre took part in the annual charity event put on by WNCI’s popular morning show hosts, with $50,000 in proceeds going to On Our Sleeves, the movement for children’s mental health powered by behavioral health experts at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Such names as musician Ryan Cabrera, The Batchelor‘s Shanae Ankney, and local media personalities Stacia Naquin and Jerod Smalley also took part in the softball game, but we’re partial to thinking the Blue Jackets were among the biggest celebrities there. (OK, the Backstreet Boys are a pretty big deal, too.)
