Big Red’s Bounceback Season Smoothed Out Thanks to Return of 3 Vets

Late help is better than no help at all.
Cornell was the team most adversely affected by the forced hiatus caused by COVID-19. In 2019-20. Not only was it poised to win the ECAC title for the program’s first time in over a decade, but the Big Red would have been one of the favorites to win a national title. The Big Red would’ve had most of those pieces back for 2020-21, if the whole season hadn’t been canceled.
A year and a half later, and with many of those pieces now gone, the Big Red entered 2021 with more questions than usual, for a program that is always at the top of the ECAC and a contender on the national stage.
But a late decision by the Ivy League allowed the likes of Kyle Betts, Cody Haiskanen and Brenden Locke to return to the Big Red…
