BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts is well represented in this year’s NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament that will get underway this week.
Five teams from Massachusetts qualified for the tournament, that will have games hosted in both Worcester and Boston this week. American International College, Harvard University, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst all won their respective conferences and got automatic bids. Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts Lowell got at-large bids.
Harvard will play in the first game of the tournament when they take on Minnesota State on March 24 at noon. The Crimson will play in the Albany Region, and if they win, they will play the winner of North Dakota and Norte Dame. The regional final is set for March 26.
