Former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Konstantin Koltsov passed away unexpectedly yesterday at the age of 42.
Koltsov played parts of three seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2002-2004, 2005-06), recording 46 points (16+30) in 86 regular season games.
He was also responsible for one of the most famous moments in team history, his Game Seven overtime goal against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers during the opening round of the 2004 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The native of Minsk, Belarus also represented his country on two occasions (2002, 2010) at the Winter Olympics.
