IOWA WILD RECALLS LOUIS BOUDON AND MAXIM CAJKOVIC, SIGNS GAVIN HAIN TO PTO

DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Mike Murray today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forwards Louis Boudon and Maxim Cajkovic from the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL. The Iowa Wild also signed forward Gavin Hain to a professional try-out contract (PTO). 

Boudon, 25 (10/4/98), has 19 points (7-12=19) and 8 penalty minutes (PIM) in 20 games for the Heartlanders this season. He has skated in six games for the Iowa Wild across the last two seasons and registered one assist. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound native of Grenoble, France made his AHL debut with the Laval Rocket on Mar. 17, 2023 following four seasons at Lake Superior State University, where he posted 114 points (39-75=114) in 139 games and served as the team captain in his junior and senior seasons. Prior to his collegiate career, Boudon recorded 119 points (41-78=119) across 108 games with the Northeast Generals in the NAHL. Boudon also represented France at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.     

Cajkovic, 22 (1/3/01), has recorded 15 points (10-5=15) and 28 PIM in 16 games with the Heartlanders this season. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Bratislava, Slovakia, also added a goal and an assist in two games with the Iowa Wild this season. Prior to joining the Heartlanders, Cajkovic played for two seasons with the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL), where he tallied 39 points (18-21=39) and 69 PIM in 66 games. He appeared in 20 games with Syracuse during the 2021-22 season, where he recorded six points (3-3=6) and 4 PIM. He was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the third round (89th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft. 

Hain, 23 (4/3/00), has skated in 12 games with the Iowa Wild and scored one goal this season. He signed an ECHL contract with the Iowa Heartlanders for the 2023-24 season on Sept. 27, 2023. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound native of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, spent the previous five seasons at the University of North Dakota, where he totaled 55 points (31-24=55) across 141 games. Hain was originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
