Continued success for 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Sweden & Denmark: High demand for tickets and all Swedish Official Partners just about sold out

When tickets for the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Sweden & Denmark were released on October 3, they sold out at an astonishing pace. Over 100,000 tickets for the games in Stockholm were snapped up within a single day, while more than 60,000 tickets were sold for the games in Herning, Denmark. A follow-up ticket release last Tuesday saw a similarly overwhelming response, with all available tickets selling out within just a few days.

The next ticket release is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18. Until then, an exclusive number of tickets remain for select games involving Sweden, along with the opportunity to book hospitality packages for Sweden’s games and the tournament finals.

“It’s thrilling to see such high demand for tickets. It’s not only rewarding for our team working tirelessly on the event but also a great boost for Swedish Ice Hockey and our partners who accompany us on this journey,” says Tony Wiréhn, Secretary General and CEO of the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Sweden & Denmark.

On the commercial side, interest has been equally impressive. With six months remaining until the tournament, nearly all Swedish Official Partner slots have been filled. In addition to Official Main Sponsor Skoda and further international Official Sponsor and Official Partner packages in place, the Swedish Official Partner packages currently include Bang Agency, Corem Property Group, Grand Travel Group, Solera, iLOQ, Lidl, Neh, Nocco, Ramirent, Scandic, Scania Sverige, Sortera, Stockholm Business Region, and Västanhede. Together with the organizing committee, these partners are poised to ensure the Ice Hockey World Championship is a resounding success.

“The enthusiasm from commercial partners has been remarkable in Sweden, and we’ve certainly felt the pressure to meet the demand. It’s incredibly exciting and a privilege to welcome all of the commercial partners,” says Tero Kumpulainen, Director of Commercial Affairs & Hospitality for the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Sweden.
