Hockey East has suspended Boston College goaltender Jacob Fowler one game stemming from an incident at 4:49 of the second period of Friday’s game at Connecticut.

Fowler will miss the Eagles’ game Nov. 19 at Providence, and can return for Friday’s game Nov. 22 against Northeastern.

Fowler was ejected after taking a swing at UConn’s Tristan Fraser, who had just scored the Huskies’ third goal within the first few minutes of the second perid. Fraser slide into Fowler as the puck was going in, and in the aftermatch, Fowler swung at him with his right hand.

UConn went on to win the game, 5-4, handing BC just its second loss of the season.

Sophomore Jan Korec, who participated in four games last season behind Fowler, played the rest of the way and took the loss. It was Korec’s first action this season. Another sophomore, Alex Musielak, is also on the rest, but has never seen game action for BC.
