Calgary Flames Recall Adam Klapka

The Hockey News

The Calgary Flames have recalled forward Adam Klapka from the Calgary Wranglers, it was announced Monday.

Klapka, who signed with the Flames as an undrafted free agent in 2022, has seen time in both the NHL and AHL this season. In five games with the Flames, Klapka has gone pointless but he has collected five points in five games with the Wranglers.

Having begun his pro career in North America in 2022-23, Klapka has scored one goal in 11 career NHL games. Over 130 career AHL regular season games, Klapka has 76 points.

Standing at 6-foot-8, Klapka is certainly a rarity among NHL forwards. Capable of shielding the puck with ease, he has the ability to create dangerous scenarios in high danger areas and is difficult to knock off the puck. With Klapka seemingly gaining more confidence with each passing season, he could soon seize a role with the Flames and not let go.
