Calgary Flames Recall Dryden Hunt

The Hockey News

The Calgary Flames announced they have recalled forward Dryden Hunt from their AHL affiliate Calgary Wranglers and placed Anthony Mantha on injured reserve.

Hunt has recorded two goals and 10 points in 12 games with the Wranglers so far this season, placing him 19th in AHL scoring.

He split time between the Flames and Wranglers last season, notching 22 points in 23 AHL games and eight points in 23 NHL games.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 230 career NHL games and recorded 18 goals and 51 points.

It is notable that Hunt is getting the call-up over younger players Rory Kerins, Jakob Pelletier, and Walker Duehr, this move allows those three to keep playing big minutes in the AHL.

The Wranglers have had a fantastic start to the season and currently sit at 10-2. They lead the league in points (20) and goals for (41).
