COLLEGE PARK, MD — This week, Hope Rose was honored as the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, marking the second time she has received this recognition in her career. The announcement came from the conference on Monday.
Rose was also selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week, an honor awarded each week during the 2024-25 season to a Maryland student-athlete who demonstrates excellence both on and off the field. In Maryland’s 4-2 road win over #17 Penn State, Rose scored twice and added an assist in the first quarter, extending her scoring streak to four games and bringing her season total to a team-leading 11 goals.
The Dauphin, Pennsylvania, native has earned All-American honors for three-consecutive years. Last season, Rose collected multiple recognitions throughout her junior season, including All-Big Ten First Team and NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region First Team. She was named to the first team during her sophomore year and earned second team honors during her freshman season.
The Big Ten Conference released the official bracket for the 2024 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament. The Terps will enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Iowa on Thursday, November 7 at 2 p.m. Northwestern, the No. 1 seed, will have a bye in the first round.
