MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women’s hockey junior Caroline Harvey received WCHA Defender of the Week honors for her contributions to the Badgers sweep of No. 8 St. Cloud State this past weekend, the WCHA announced Monday.
Harvey collected her fourth Defender of the Week award, also being recognized as Defender of the Month in October.
Harvey notched four points in Wisconsin’s sweep of St. Cloud State. The Wisconsin co-captain contributed a goal and an assist to UW’s 6-0 win on Friday. The junior added two helpers in the Badgers’ 4-0 win on Saturday. Harvey’s four points were the most by a WCHA Defender on the weekend. The Salem, New Hampshire, native’s +5 plus/minus rating was tied for the best mark by a WCHA skater with fellow Badger defender Vivian Jungels
Harvey is second in the NCAA and leads all blueliners with 1.42 assists per game and 1.92 points per game, behind only fellow-Badger Casey O’Brien.
Harvey and the Badgers take a bye this week before traveling to Columbus to face No. 2 Ohio State on Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. and 16 at 2 p.m.
