Rosters: Badgers || Fighting Irish
1 – WEEKEND RECAP: Wisconsin heads into its fourth series of the year with a 1-5-0 record (0-2-0 Big Ten) after being swept by No. 1 and defending NCAA champion Denver at Magness Arena last weekend.
In game one, the Badgers outshot the Pioneers, 33-25, but lost, 4-2. Playing in Denver for the first time since 2016 against its longtime WCHA rival, Wisconsin lit the lamp early in the first period on a goal from Gavin Morrissey, but Denver quickly responded to tie the game at one. Each team traded goals again, with Quinn Finley scoring for Wisconsin, to head into the second period tied at two. Denver tallied the go-ahead goal 7:35 into the third period before adding an empty-net goal with 1:49 remaining to emerge victorious, 4-2.
