MADISON, Wis. – Seventeen former Badgers were named to PWHL training camp rosters, PWHL teams announced on Friday.
At least one Wisconsin women’s hockey alumnus was named on each of the six PWHL team’s training camp rosters, with six total former Badgers making the Toronto Scepter’s roster. Cami Kronish, Mellissa Channell, Madison Packer and Sam Cogan all made rosters by way of camp invites, while the remaining 10 Badgers returned to their PWHL teams from the inaugural season or by way of the draft.
Four former Badgers will be behind the bench this season — Stefanie McKeough as an assistant coach in Boston, Sis Paulsen as an equipment manager in Minnesota, Lauren Williams as an assistant coach in New York and Carla MacLeod as the Ottawa head coach.
The PWHL also announced the schedule for their season. Depending on the outcomes of training camps, up to 13 Badgers could be hitting the ice in the two PWHL season-opening games on Nov. 30, depending on the outcomes of training camps.
