BLOOMINGTON, IN – Maryland field hockey became the second college program in the sport’s history to win 800 games as the No. 5 Terrapins beat Indiana, 3-0, on Friday at Deborah Tobias Field. With the victory, the Terrapins move to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten.
The only other program to win 800 games in college field hockey history is North Carolina, which has a record of 835-217-19. The Terps are now 800-254-3 all-time.
Hope Rose delivered the game’s first goal to start the Terps’ scoring in the first quarter. She then added a second goal in the 36th minute off a decisive strike off her back shoulder. She tied Kylee Niswonger for the team lead with four goals on the season. The latter score was also the 41st of her career and she has now scored multiple goals against Indiana twice, doing so previously in 2021. Overall, she has eight multi-goal games in her career.

Goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko tallied three saves to key her third shutout of the season.
