Chicago Wolves Sign Nick Swaney to One-Year Deal

The Hockey News

The Chicago Wolves have signed forward Nick Swaney to a one-year deal, the team announced Friday.

Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Swaney played for the Iowa Wild last season. While limited to seven regular season games, he scored a goal and collected an assist.

A product of Lakeville, Minn., Swaney joins the Wolves after spending parts of four seasons with the Wild organization. Over that time, Swaney got into one NHL game and collected 72 points in 123 career AHL regular season games.

With Swaney making the move to the Wolves, he will be hoping to put together a full season. When healthy, Swaney is a capable offensive contributor and the Wolves are hoping he can be just that.
