Hockey Canada announced on Friday that the North Vancouver native will join the Canadian National Team in Plymouth, Mich. for the World Junior Summer Showcase.

Wetsch tallied 25 goals and 50 points in 67 games for the Hitmen in 2023-24, and donned a letter on his jersey for Team Canada along with Malcolm Spence (assistant captain) and Porter Martone (captain) in the World U18 Championship in April.
The British Columbia product was drafted 82nd overall in the 2024 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks.
