On Saturday, 2022 Colorado College signee Fisher Scott was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the seventh round of the 2024 National Hockey League (NHL) Draft in Las Vegas, NV with the 208th overall pick.
Scott has spent the last three seasons with the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Carbondale, Colorado native becomes the 90th player in CC history to be drafted by the NHL since 1969.
For the Fighting Saints this last season, Scott appeared in 61 games, recording 33 points, 25 assists, and three game-winning goals. He dished out six multi-point games this season. He racked up a point in seven of his final 10 appearances.
The defenseman led the team and was ninth in the USHL with a 28 +/-.
Scott finished his USHL career with 122 games under his belt and will join Colorado College in the fall. He will add to the talented depth of the CC defensive lines.
