One of the highest-scoring players in the transfer portal will make the University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team his destination for his final season of college eligibility.
Cody Laskosky will join the Badgers for the 2024-25 season after four years at RIT.
He’s the second player to move from RIT to Wisconsin after goalie Tommy Scarfone also announced he would transfer in this offseason.
Laskosky, 24, will fill the Badgers’ need for a right-handed forward after the team lost six of them since the 2023-24 season ended with a loss to Quinnipiac in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

He visited Wisconsin this week and gave the Badgers a commitment before he returned to Rochester, New York, on Wednesday.
“To get some interest from a program like Wisconsin after the season that they had, it’s super exciting to be part of,” Laskosky said in a phone interview from the Atlanta airport as he prepared to board his connecting flight. “It just worked out in terms of schooling and everything like that, so it was an easy fit and an easy decision.”
