Team USA will continue its quest for a gold medal when they face Japan in the quarterfinals of the IIHF Women’s World Championship on Thursday.
The USA Women’s National Hockey team enters the quarterfinals with an undefeated 4-0 record after a close call with Canada in their last game. Kirsten Simms came up with a goal just three minutes into overtime to secure their 1-0 victory over Canada.
Meanwhile, Japan should not be underestimated after knocking off Denmark 3-0 in the preliminary round as they look to upset Team USA.
