The No. 2 Boston University men’s ice hockey team will continue its quest for a sixth national championship on Thursday when the Terriers face No. 3 Denver in the first of two NCAA semifinals at the 2024 Men’s Frozen Four. Puck drop in St. Paul is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. local time. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 and will also be streamed live on ESPN+, with an audio-only broadcast located here. TOURNAMENT TIDBITS
- The Terriers enter their 24th Frozen Four with an all-time record of 47-39-0 (.547) in 39 NCAA tournament appearances.
- The 47 wins represent the fifth-highest total in tournament history.
- The only programs with more victories are Minnesota (62), Michigan (58), North Dakota (53) and Boston College (51).
- This is the Terriers’ second straight Frozen Four and third time getting to the Frozen Four in the past decade.
- Only Michigan (28) and Boston College (25) have been to more Frozen Fours than the Terriers.
- BU has reached the title game in three of its past four Frozen Four appearances, as well as in five of its last seven and six of its last nine trips to the Frozen Four.

- BU won its eighth game in its last nine tries on March 30 with a 6-3 victory over No. 7 Minnesota in the NCAA Sioux Falls Regional final.
- That was the Terriers’ second 6-3 victory of the regional, as they defeated No. 17/18 RIT by that same score on March 28.
- Freshman Macklin Celebrini was named Most Outstanding Player of the regional after totaling five points (1g, 4a) in two games, including three primary assists against Minnesota.
- Celebrini, a Hobey Hat Trick finalist at just 17 years old, is second in the nation in goals (32), points (64) and points per game (1.73) and is just the fourth player since the turn of the century to record 30 goals and 30 assists as a freshman.
