DURHAM, N.H. – With the Wildcats trailing 2-0 in the third period, sophomore forward Kristaps Skrastins (Grobina, Latvia) scored for UNH but the ‘Cats were then unable to find the equalizer as the No. 17 University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team fell to UConn, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex in Hockey East action.
The Wildcats fall to 12-7-1 (5-4-1 Hockey East), while the Huskies improve to 10-11-2 (6-8-1 Hockey East).
The ‘Cats split the two-game regular season series versus the Huskies as UNH won 5-0 in Storrs on Friday.
