Vincenzo Capano posted two goals and an assist to lead No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20 Northern Highlands to a 3-1 win over Ridgewood at Sport-O-Rama in Monsey, N.Y.
The win improved the Highlanders’ win streak to four, which pushed the team’s record to 12-2. The team has not lost against New Jersey competition since its season-opening loss at the hands of Westfield.
Brent Beswick scored in the second period to give Northern Highlands a 2-1 lead, and Capano added an empty-netter insurance goal in the final period.
JT Gandara recorded two assists in the win. Jack Scali made 38 saves.
AJ LoSauro scored for Ridgewood (8-2-1) in the second period.
