IIHF – Alieu BAH Suspended

The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Junior Championship Disciplinary Panel has issued a one (1) game suspension to  Norway’s  Alieu Bah (#11) for an illegal check to the head and neck ofSlovakia’s Milan Pisoja.
 
The incident occurred at 32:43 in the 2nd period of Game #11 between Norway and Slovakia.  
 
The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that   as the Player elevated, with his skates leaving the ice when making contact with the opposition player’s head and neck, the Player’s actions constitute a violation of Official Playing Rule  48 (Illegal Check to the Head or Neck).
 
Due to the suspension, the Player will miss the game between Switzerland and Norway.
