CHN Staff Report
Wisconsin sophomore defenseman Tyson Jugnauth has left the school to join Portland of the Major Junior Western Hockey League.
Jugnauth had recently been a healthy scratch in three straight games, before dressing in last Saturday’s game against Ohio State.
Portland recently traded for Jugnauth’s rights from Kamloops, suggesting something was in the works.
Jugnauth was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Draft by Seattle.
Jugnauth has two assists and a minus-2 in 13 games this season. Last season he was 5-10—15 with a minus-20.
