Nothing of Substance Reported

Michigan Tech University says it has completed a review of allegations made by former player Patriks Marcinkevics against head coach Joe Shawhan.
The school said nothing beyond that, suggesting Shawhan is cleared in the incident.
Marcinkevics transferred from Long Island to Michigan Tech this offseason. He then left the team a month into the season. The school said, at the time, that Marcinkevics was leaving to pursue a pro hockey opportunity in his native Latvia.
Marcinkevics later said he traveled to Bemidji to confront Shawhan about the circumstances of his departure, and released what he said was a recording of them, a recording made without Shawhan’s knowledge. The recording suggests someone who is alleged to be Shawhan was using aggressive language towards Marcinkevics.
The University said it was unable to discuss the situation further because of student protection laws.
