The Toronto Marlies wrap up their road trip with a game against the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins on Tuesday night. This will be the second and final matchup between the two clubs this regular season.
The two teams last met on December 20th when the Marlies won 5-2. Currently, Toronto sits atop the Eastern Conference in first place with a 37-16-2-1 record, while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is in 13th place with a 23-23-4-5 record on the season.
Toronto heads into Wednesday’s game with a 4-3 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is coming off a high scoring 6-4 win over the Cleveland Monsters on Sunday.
Players to watch on the Marlies side include Nick Abruzzese who has 41 points (15G, 26A) in 56 games, and Noel Hoefenmayer who leads all defensemen on the team with 34 points (11G, 23A). On the Penguins side, Alexander Nylander leads the way with 50 points (25G, 25A).
