Burnside, a freshman forward who calls Scottsdale, Ariz., home, had three goals and four points in the sweep of the Falcons, with two points in each game. Friday, he had the first assist on Brickey’s goal that put the Buckeyes in the lead in the third and then tallied for a three-goal cushion, capping a stretch of three goals in less than a minute for Ohio State. He was +1 in the game and blocked a shot. In game two in Columbus, Burnside scored twice, his second career two-goal outing. He tallied just over two minutes into the game for an early 2-0 Buckeye advantage and also scored late in the second. The freshman shares the Buckeye lead with nine goals this season, adding two assists for 11 points, and now has four two-point outings.
