COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 14 Ohio State men’s hockey jumped out to a 4-0 first-period lead and didn’t look back en route to a 9-4 win over Bowling Green Saturday in Value City Arena. The Buckeyes, who had points from 13 players, pushed the lead to 8-1 after 40 minutes.
Joe Dunlap paced the Buckeyes with four points, on two goals and two assists. Tate Singleton had three assists and points, while Davis Burnside scored twice. Scooter Brickey and Stepehen Halliday each had a goal and an assist, while Matt Cassidy had two helpers.
The game wrapped up the first part of the season for both teams. The Buckeyes head into break 12-7-1, while the Falcons are 8-12-0. Ohio State swept the series, with a 5-2 road win Friday, and has won the last four games in the series.

- At 1:11 Joe Dunlap scored, as he put in the rebound of a Matt Cassidy shot that hit the post. Scooter Brickey also assisted on the tally.

- Dunlap notched his second goal of the night at 10:26, scoring shorthanded on a 2-on-1, with Dominic Vidoli on the assist.
- Michael Gildon added a goal at 12:16. Jake Wise won a faceoff at center ice; Gildon carried the puck into the Falcon zone and scored from a sharp angle near the goal line.
- Ohio State had the shot advantage, 16-9, in the first.
- The Buckeyes pushed the lead to 7-0 with the first three goals of the second period.
- Patrick Guzzo scored on a 2-on-1 with Dunlap at 1:54. Singleton started the rush for his second helper of the game.
- At 13:36 Halliday converted on the power play from the faceoff circle, set up by Cole McWard and Mason Lohrei.
- Singleton and Burnside connected for a goal at 17:00, with Burnside completing the odd-man rush.
- Bowling Green scored 38 seconds later to break up the shutout, but Ohio State answered 37 seconds after that. Brickey’s shot from the point got through, assisted by Cassidy and Dunlap, at 18:15.
