COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 17 Ohio State men’s hockey team posted a 4-3 win at No. 6/5 Penn State Saturday in University Park, Pa. The Buckeyes led 3-2 after the first period and 4-2 after the second. The Nittany Lions (14-3-0, 6-3-0-0-1-0 B1G) drew within one in the third but Ohio State closed out the win for a series split. Jakub Dobes made 37 saves for the Buckeyes, while Mason Lohrei and Cole McWard each had two assists. Jake Wise, Jaedon Leslie, Tate Singleton and Joe Dunlap all tallied for Ohio State.
The games marked the last Big Ten series for the Buckeyes (10-7-1, 5-5-0-0-0-0 B1G) until January. The squad is off next weekend and will close the first half of the schedule with a home-and-home series vs. Bowling Green. The Buckeyes and Falcons will meet at 7:07 p.m. Dec. 16 in Bowling Green and at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 in Columbus.
