BOSTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin women’s ice hockey team finished as Codfish Bowl runners-up following a 4-1 loss to Colby on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears are 2-2-0, while the Mules remain perfect at 3-0-0.
Game Highlights
- The Mules exploded for three goals in three minutes in the latter half of the first period.
- McKinley Karpa won the puck in the left corner and fed Tate Senden in front of the crease. Senden stuffed the puck past Meg Miranda for a power play goal with 4:27 remaining in the frame.
- Two minutes later, the Mules buried a clapper from the right point through traffic.
- Senden had the final goal of the period with 1:15 remaining, working the puck through on the left post.
- Bowdoin found the net in the final frame with 4:51 left to play. The puck came off the right boards and fluttered into the high slot. Anyi Sun saucered a shot past Paige Bolyard to spoil the shutout.
- Colby iced the game with an empty-netter with 26 seconds remaining.
