It’s Monday which means that we are just a few days from New York Islanders training camp. Development camp is coming to a close with just two days remaining.

NYI Hockey Now:  Over the first four days of New York Islanders development camp, former Islanders defenseman and 13-year NHL veteran Johnny Boychuk has been on the ice with prospects. Following Sunday’s skate, the New York Islanders shared with us that the fan favorite has an official job with the organization. NYI Hockey Now: Day four of New York Islanders’ development had a different feel than the previous three days. Bridgeport Islanders head coach Brent Thompson, who had been watching from above over the course of the week, was on the ice for the first time. But for 18-year-old  Isaiah George, he got to live out that dream when the New York Islanders selected him in the fourth round (98th overall) at the 2022 NHL Draft up in Montreal. New York Islanders.

NYI Hockey Now: New York Islanders prospect Robin Salo has the opportunity to earn a starting gig for the first time in his NHL career. The 23-year-old forward is fresh off his first season on North American ice, splitting time at the NHL and AHL level.
