ARLINGTON, V.A. — Washington Capitals hockey returned to the District last week, with top prospects skating in the team’s first development camp since 2019. The last two camps were put on hold due to COVID-19.
After four days of on-ice and off-ice work at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, camp closed out with a scrimmage at Capital One Arena, where Hendrix Lapierre, Vincent Iorio and more put their skills to the test on the big stage.
“You have to shine bright under the big lights,” Iorio said of playing at Capital One.
