Ali Domenico Named To Canada's National Women's Team Staff

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women’s hockey Associate Head Coach Ali Domenico is set to return as assistant coach for the Canadian Women’s National Team as announced on July 21 by Hockey Canada.
 
Domenico has been a part of Canada’s National Women’s Program since 2017 when she coached the National Women’s Under-18 Team Summer Showcase. Since then, she has coached the National Women’s Development Team Selection Camp (2018-19, 2019-20), and the Canadian National Women’s Team ‘Rivalry Series’ (2019-20). Domenico also served one the National Women’s Under-18 Team for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 season until named as an assistant coach for the Canadian Olympic Team. Domenico helped the Canadian Olympic Team secure a gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, making her the first coach of Providence College’s Women’s Hockey Program to do so.
 
Domenico was named Associate Head Coach for Providence College’s women’s hockey team in July of 2021 after spending the previous three seasons as assistant coach for the program. During her time at Providence College, Domenico helped guide the Friars to a Hockey East Championship Game appearance and a NCAA Tournament berth in 2020-21.
