As Seattle and the Pacific Northwest welcome in Pride Month, the Kraken franchise is happy to mark the celebration with several events, especially this June with the Kraken Community Iceplex in full operation mode.
The recognition starts Sunday with Pride Month kickoff event at 32 Bar and Grill presented by Kraken founding partner Symetra. The gathering will fete and highlight organizations positively impacting the LGBTQ+ community.
Expect meaningful discussions with Kraken fans and community groups. Everyone is welcome for a celebratory happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Hockey fans and players, feel free to bring family and friends.
During the June 18 and 19 weekend, there will Pride-themed public skating session at the Iceplex. On the 18th the Pride- themed skate beings at 6:15pm, on the 19th skaters can hop on the ice at 4 p.m. Follow Kraken Community Iceplex on social media and look for more details in the coming days. Plus, make plans watch some of the action that weekend in the Seattle Pride Hockey Classic.
The Seattle Pride Hockey Association is hosting the tournament. Games will be played from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 18 and 8 a.m. to 3:30 pm Sunday. Free parking is available on-site, and the Iceplex is easily accessible via the light rail.
Make sure you stop by Seattle Kraken team stores to pick up your Pride Runs Deep apparel. This specialty merchandise line will be available all month long.
On June 26, Kraken fans are invited to join team staff members and their loved ones in the Seattle Pride Parade, along with the “Kraken Pride Runs Deep Zamboni.” The NHL’s 32nd franchise will be marching together with all of the local pro sports teams. Participants will need to arrive between 8 and 9 a.m. The parade time is 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For more information, click here.
