Knights. Blizzard. Macs. Flyers. Growlers. Who will win their way out west?
The Halifax Macs are back to defend their Atlantic Region title, taking to
the ice in Paradise, N.L., in search of back-to-back regional titles, and a
seventh Atlantic crown overall.
All four provincial champions that will join the host East Coast Blizzard –
the Macs, Charlottetown Knights, Moncton Flyers and Pinnacle Growlers –
were the best in the province during the regular season, and backed it up
with playoff triumphs.
There is plenty of past success in this group – the Macs, Flyers and
Knights have combined for 18 trips to Canada’s National Men’s U18 Club
Championship, while the Growlers will look to be the 12th team from the St.
John’s, N.L., area to earn a TELUS Cup berth.
