On Thursday night the Hamilton Kilty B’s edged the Fort Erie Meteors 4-3 to go up 2-1 in a best-of-seven semifinal in which the home team has won every game.
Fourth-seeded Fort Erie hopes to continue that pattern and even the series when it hosts No. 1 seed Hamilton in a 7:15 p.m. puck drop Saturday at the Leisureplex.
Game 4 is Monday night at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton, where the Kilty’s B are 4-0 in post-season play and 26-0-1 overall since the start of the 2021-22 season. Their only loss on home ice, excluding a double-forfeit to the Niagara Falls Canucks in the season opener, was a 2-1 setback in overtime to the St. Catharines Falcons on Feb. 28.
