Kilty B’s come back to win

The Fort Erie Meteors host the Hamilton Kilty B’s at the Leisureplex Wednesday night hoping to even a best-of-seven Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Golden Horseshoe Conference semifinal at one win apiece.

On Monday, four unanswered goals gave the No. 1 seed Kilty B’s a 4-3 victory over the fourth-seeded Meteors before an announced crowd of 234 at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton.

Matthew Duarte, on the power play; Connor Haynes, Nolan Underwood and Dylan Abbamont scored for the Kilty B’s, who improved to 3-0 in the playoffs and 25-1-1 overall at home with the come-from-behind win.

Joseph Macchione, Joshua DiFrancesco and Jayden Baldinelli netted goals for the Meteors who were outshot 31-27.

Braedyn McIntosh earned the win in net for the hosts. Duncan Nichols-Delay was tagged with the loss.

Hamilton went 1-for-4 on the power play; Fort Erie, 0-for-1.

The Kilty B’s were 6-1 versus the Meteors in head-to-head play during the regular season.
