EDMONTON, Alta. – Hockey Canada has announced that Kaiden Guhle (Sherwood Park, Alta./Edmonton, WHL) will wear the ‘C’ for Canada’s National Junior Team at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton and Red Deer, Dec. 26-Jan. 5.
Jake Neighbours (Airdrie, Alta./Edmonton, WHL) and 2021 IIHF World Championship gold medallist Cole Perfetti (Whitby, Ont./Manitoba, AHL) will serve alongside Guhle as alternate captains.
“It is an honour any time you have the opportunity to wear the Maple Leaf, and it is even more special to be able to do it on home ice close to where I grew up,” Guhle said. “To be selected as captain for the World Juniors in Edmonton and Red Deer is something I take a lot of pride in, and I look forward to competing alongside my teammates as we look achieve our goal of winning a gold medal.”
