Kasimir Kaskisuo is headed to the Boston Bruins on a professional tryout.

The 30-year-old goaltender spent part of last season without a pro team before signing an AHL contract with the Laval Rocket in Dec. 2023. He’ll join Boston for training camp hoping to land a contract within the organization.
Kaskisuo played one game with the Maple Leafs — in Pittsburgh against the Penguins — on Nov. 16, 2019. He allowed six goals on 38 shots in what was former head coach Mike Babcock’s second-last game in the organization.
The goaltender played 67 games with the Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate of the Maple Leafs, throughout parts between 2015 and 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kaskisuo played two NHL games, one with Toronto, and another with the Nashville Predators. He has a 4.80 goals-against-average and a .854 save percentage in that span.
With restricted free agent Jeremy Swayman unsigned, Boston felt the need to bring in another goaltender, along with Jonas Korpisalo, Brandon Bussi, and Michael DiPietro in the organization.
Kaskisuo has played 108 career AHL games and has a record of 53-36-10 and a .909 save percentage. He played two seasons with Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League from 2021-23.
