TONIGHT – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Hershey Bears are going the distance in their Best of 5 series as they play the finale tonight at GIANT Center in Hershey. The Bears survived in Game 4 with a 6-4 victory at PPL Center on Friday to force the decisive and pivotal game. The winner advances to play either Charlotte or Providence in Round 3. The losing team tonight is headed for the off-season. The stakes couldn’t be higher! The Phantoms in the Playoffs is presented by PenTeleData.

After falling in the opener at Hershey last Wednesday, the Phantoms surged back with a trio of shorties to take Game 2 at Hershey on Friday and then continued momentum last Sunday before a raucous home crowd in Game 3 on Sunday to take the lead in the series. But the Bears responded with their backs to the wall roaring out to a 3-0 lead in the first at PPL Center and hanging on the rest of the way.

The Phantoms went 5-4-1 against Hershey in 2024-24 and are now 7-6-1 against the Bears in the regular season and postseason combined. Lehigh Valley entered the Calder Cup Playoffs as the 5-seed while the Hershey Bears again won the Atlantic Division and have won the last two Calder Cup Championships.

The winner of this series will face either the Charlotte Checkers or Providence Bruins in Round 3. Charlotte and Providence are also playing a decisive Game 5 this afternoon in Charlotte.
