The Maple Leafs add forward depth with Flyers forward Scott Laughton along with a fourth-round pick and sixth-round pick in exchange for a conditional first round pick in 2027 and prospect Nikita Grebenkin, per multiple reports.
The Flyers will be retaining 50 per cent of Laughton’s contract as part of the deal.
Laughton, 30, is a top nine forward that can make an impact with his physicality, which should make him a perfect fit for the Leafs heading into the playoffs. Despite playing just 24 playoff games in his career, teams have been salivating at the opportunity to add Laughton to their top nine forward unit and deploy the Oakville native with force.

With 30-40 point production, as well as the ability to play a physical playoff style of game, Laughton could end up being a potential game-breaker for the Buds when it comes to the playoffs and could help lift Toronto to a Stanley Cup.
