The Maple Leafs appear to have made a move right before the NHL’s 3 p.m. ET deadline.

According to several reports, from TSN’s Chris Johnston and Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs have acquired right-shot defenseman Brandon Carlo from the Boston Bruins.

Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten is a part of the deal, per Friedman. The 20-year-old second-round pick spent most of his time in the AHL this season, scoring six goals and seven assists in 26 games with the Toronto Marlies.

Minten also scored two goals and two assists in 15 games with the Maple Leafs this season.

Carlo’s contract has two more years remaining at an annual average value of $4.1 million. Conor Timmins left Toronto’s practice shortly before it concluded in Denver, Colorado.

He’s reportedly been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins, per Johnston. According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, Connor Dewar will also go to Pittsburgh.

This would be the Maple Leafs’ second, and third, trades of the day after acquiring Scott Laughton from the Philadelphia Flyers earlier on Friday in exchange for Nikita Grebenkin and a conditional first-round pick.

Toronto also received a fourth and a sixth-round pick, while Philadelphia retained 50 percent of Laughton’s salary. Laughton has one more year remaining on his contract, $1.5 million of which the Maple Leafs will pay for.
