On Thursday night at American Airlines Center, Calgary Flames netminder Dan Vladar played in his 100th NHL game.
Initially drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round (75th overall) at the 2015 Draft, Vladar made his NHL debut on Aug. 26, 2020 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, making 12 saves in 28:42 in relief of Jaroslav Halak.
The 26-year-old from Prague, Czechia, is the 13th netminder from Czechia to reach 100 NHL games, joining a list that includes former Flames netminders David Rittich and Roman Turek.

Hall of Famer Dominic Hasek holds the country’s records for most games played (735) and wins (389).
In 99 games, Vladar has a 45-34-15 record, four shutouts, a 3.05 GAA, and a .893 SV%. Thursday night will be his 95th game with Calgary, where he is 43-32-14. With the Bruins, he skated in five games, going 2-2-1.
As mentioned, Vladar is chasing Turek (152) and Rittich (130) for most games played by a Czechia goalie in a Flames sweater.

However, he ranks 17th in team history with 95 games played and is only two away from tying Mike Smith and Rick Tabaracci, who each played 97. Next on the list are Karri Romo and Rick Wamsley, who are tied with 111.

Moreover, Vladar has won 43 games for the Flames, which ranks 15th all-time. He’s five victories shy of Smith (48) and six away from Ramo (49). Vladar needs eight wins to catch Fred Brathwaite, who ranks 12th with 51 wins.
Ahead of his 100th game, Vladar is 8-11-5 this season, with two shutouts.
