Belleville Senators Game Day Build-Up
Feb.15/25 @ Toronto Marlies (NHL Affiliate: Toronto Maple Leafs)
The Set Up:
As another significant winter weather event bears down on Southern Ontario, a storm will likely be brewing inside the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, where the Belleville Senators will clash again with the Toronto Marlies this afternoon. The Senators exploded for five goals at CAA Arena on Friday night and hung on for a 5-3 victory, giving them victories in back-to-back games for the first time since December and extending their home win streak to four games. This afternoon, the Senators will look to keep up their pressure and pace for 60 minutes, and not let Toronto build momentum late in the game. Still sitting five points outside the North Division playoff picture, a victory today is worth far more than just bragging rights between provincial rivals.
Previous History:
Belleville’s win last night improved their record against Toronto this season to 3-2-0-1, with a 1-1-0-0 mark at home and 2-1-0-1. Friday’s victory was Belleville’s 40th all time against Toronto, to improve that record to 40-34-2-5. In their lifetime on the road against the Marlies, the Senators are 21-15-2-2.
