Devils’ Allen Gets Nod To Start Crucial Game Against Canadiens

Jake Allen will get the nod to start the New Jersey Devils final game before the 4-Nations break against the Montreal Canadiens.

It will be the 34-year-old’s 19th start this season. He is coming off a 3-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, where he made 37 saves on 40 shots.

Throughout his career, Allen has started nine games against the Canadiens with a record of 4-5-0, a 3.23 goals-against average, and a .885 save percentage.

On the other side of the ice, Sam Montembeault will start in net for Montreal. The 28-year-old has two wins over his last five games and a record of 3-1-1 against New Jersey.
