The Nashville Predators have made some roster transactions ahead of their Friday night tilt against the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center.
According to the official roster report, Nashville forward Luke Evangelista has been activated off Injured Reserve; he has been skating with the team this week, but it is unknown whether he will be in the lineup against Buffalo.
Presumed starting goaltender Juuse Saros was not on the ice for morning skate in Buffalo, and head coach Andrew Brunette told media members that Saros was “not feeling well.” Backup goalie Justus Annunen is expected to get the start against the Sabres tonight.
The NHL media site shows Matt Murray being recalled from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals to back up Annunen in Friday’s game. Additionally, defenseman Kevin Gravel has been reassigned to Milwaukee; this is likely a paper transaction to clear space for Murray to be added to Nashville’s active roster.
The puck is set to drop between the Predators and Sabres Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
