William Carrier Welcomed Back To Vegas

The Hockey News - Carolina Hurricanes

With the Carolina Hurricanes playing their one and only game in Vegas on Monday, the Golden Knights welcomed back William Carrier who played for the season for seven seasons.

Carrier was an original Golden Knight, having been selected from the Buffalo Sabres in the 2017 Entry Draft along with a sixth-round pick.

The 29-year-old forward played 372 games for Vegas, picking up 53 goals, 99 points and 1,116 hits.

The scrappy forward had his biggest year in the 2022-23 season, where he scored 16 goals in the regular season and then another two in the playoffs en route to winning the Stanley Cup.

Carrier received a video message and a standing ovation from the Vegas crowd in the first period and it’s clear that he’s still a beloved figure in the city.

The forward signed a six-year, $12 million deal with the Canes this offseason.
